Please know we are currently not recruiting any particular class/role and as such applications are generally ignored unless you are specifically told to create one by an officer.

For those that may not know us, Power Word Awesome is the oldest raiding guild on Maiev (US-PvP) and has been around since the early BC days. We are a quirky group of dedicated, competitive people who hold each other to high standards. From T5 to T11 we have been at the forefront of Maiev raiding, claiming many server firsts without ever falling into the trap of taking things too seriously. Raiding is a strictly pants-less affair, and there is no such thing as a bad time for a Brim's mom joke.

We raid three nights a week: Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 5-9pm server time (Pacific) and use an EP/GP loot system with /random 100 for offspec loot.

Retribution Paladin (strong tank set/experience would be a bonus)

Any prospective applicants must also be able to compete with existing members to earn a raid spot. Individuals who are immature, unmotivated, or abrasive need not apply.

We do not believe in recruiting for a bench — we try to keep a roster of roughly thirty players to avoid having to sit too many people. Every position we are recruiting is always a full-time position with high activity in our raids.

We are interested in recruits that know all the intricate details of their class, and use this information to make informed decisions about their gear, spec, and the like. You must also be able to listen to constructive criticism without becoming hostile/defensive (everybody is wrong sometimes).

Knowing how to spec and gear is only half the battle, however. We are interested in people for which avoiding fire/goo/icicles/whatever is second nature. We want people who can listen and follow directions, yet can also act intelligently if left to their own devices.

WoL/WMO parses to show your ability

A high level of activity - we have little interest in people who only show up to raids then log after

Exceptional Players

Your class not listed? Don't sweat it, apply anyway. Exceptional players are always encouraged to apply, regardless of class openings. We will always try to make room for the right player even if they're the wrong class! To us, an exceptional player is someone with one or more of the following qualities:

Excellent PvE experience (e.g., server firsts kills, previous member of a competitive guild)
Heavy PvP background (Gladiators, etc)
Former officers and/or raid leaders
Achievement point nerds
Exceptional parses for your class
Impeccable gear (mostly implied, but helpful none-the-less)

We are currently enforcing an 18+ age requirement for all raiding applicants. Exceptions can be made in rare cases where the applicant displays impressive maturity and has extensive class knowledge, raiding experience and impeccable gear.
